The Hello beautiful brief was an enjoyable experience for me, more of an design-orientated brief than the previous. The christmas break held a good opportunity to collect some items to work from including a deer which is used as a centre piece for a table but instead as a symbolic reference for beauty. I was also able to use tissue paper as an exciting new media, very delicate but I can layer multiple sheets to create darker and more intense colour. This is my chosen final image out of the 5 larger out of sketchbook work.

I used Photoshop in the second image to correct, improve colour saturation, give greater definition to ink lines, match the colours closer to the Hello Beautiful specification.
Apart from the deer, I included other elements to fit with the additional words I centred my work around, power and strength. Power given from the crown, design referenced from my Cheese Crown made during the explanatory stage. strength from the deer's stance, standing up proud. Below is a brief description of my own interpretation of my work.
"Hello Deer - Deer used to represent graceful beauty
as seen in nature, as seen in yourself. Beauty which
mends and heals to create a better outlook. Message of
'Hello Deer' is to be considerate and caring.
How are you, How are you feeling?
The Deer is crowned to demonstrate right to power and to feel powerful."
